My Name is Kristine Skovli Martinez. I am a mother, wife, homeschooler and undisturbed birth enthusiast.

I first became interested in birth right before I learned I was pregnant with my first baby, 16 years ago. My journey into birth work was long and gradual, and you can read about it here. Along the way I have had the opportunity to study with some wonderful midwives and doulas; Carla Hartley, Gail Hart, Whapio Diane Bartlett, Earth Lande, Jess Shineman, Becky Purpur. I also have to say that out of the many authors who’s books I have devoured, if I could meet just one person and give them the world’s biggest hug, it would be Michel Odent. Thank you, Dr Odent, for devoting your life to helping us rediscover the miracle of physiological birth. May your work be remembered and studied long after your departure from this world.

Currently, I am enrolled in an online study program with The Matrona and learning from midwives and birthing families around western Colorado.
